Guacamole is healthy, nutritious and incredibly easy to make. It’s full of healthy fats, minerals and antioxidants. Not only is it nutritious, it’s also very satisfying. This recipe is made with a few nourishing ingredients:

  • AVOCADOS are a good source of fiber, folate and vitamin k. They’re high in healthy fats and help to promote heart health, lower cholesterol, aid in digestion, and healthy skin.
  • RED ONION is a good source of vitamin C. It helps to boost immunity and promote heart health.
  • CHERRY TOMATOES are a high source of vitamin C, vitamin A and vitamin K and reduce inflammation and promote heart health.
  • CILANTRO is a good source of vitamin k. It helps to promote detoxification, boosts immunity, and reduces inflammation.

The first step is to add the avocado and spices to a bowl. Then with a fork you can mash up the avocado and mix everything together.

Ingredients

  • 2 avocados, ripe
  • Fresh squeezed lime juice from 1 lime
  • Sea salt and ground pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 small onion, diced
  • 6-8 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
  • 2 Tbsp, fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, add the avocado, lime juice, sea salt and ground pepper, cumin, and red pepper flakes. Mash the avocado with a fork and mix everything together.
  2. Chop the onion, cherry tomatoes and cilantro and stir in to the guacamole. Serve with good quality tortilla chips or raw veggies, or try the veggie burrito bowl.
