The salad comes in a large clear plastic container. Inside is a large amount of chopped romaine lettuce, shredded parmesan cheese, two small bags of caesar dressings, two small bags of croutons, and two lemon wedges.
Open the lid from the plastic container. Remove the small bags of croutons, small bags of caesar dressing and the lemon wedges.
Cut open the crouton bags with a pair of scissors. Add them to the salad container. Slice open 1-2 of the dressing bags and spread it overtop of the salad. Close the lid and give the salad a swish back and forth until all the ingredients are mixed.
Open the lid and give it a light toss if needed.
Pour into a large salad bowl to serve and enjoy!
Recipe Notes:
The Caesar salad seasoning kit will have a best-before date on the label of the package and can be stored in the fridge until that date.
But once you assemble the salad it should be served right away. Lettuce doesn’t stay crispy once it’s tossed with dressing. And the dressing will turn wilted.
This Kirkland signature salad is easy to eat on its own however a few extra ingredients would really take the flavor to the next level. Here’s what I recommend.
CHEESE – Add cubes of your favorite cheese including cheddar cheese, Monterey jack, or crumbled feta cheese.
PROTEIN – This would be so easy to add cooked shredded chicken, shrimp, steak bites, or tofu for more protein.
CROUTONS – Add more croutons for extra crunch.
NUTS AND SEEDS – Add chopped walnuts or sliced almonds, roasted pumpkin seeds, or sunflower seeds.
BACON – Add cooked and crumbled bacon for a salty crunch.
