Homemade taco seasoning mix is super easy to make and takes less than 5 minutes. It's made with affordable spices that you already have in your pantry.
Add 4 ½ tablespoon chili powder, 6 teaspoon cumin, 2 ½ teaspoon paprika, 1 ½ teaspoon garlic powder, 1 ½ teaspoon onion powder, and ½ teaspoon ground pepper to a bowl and mix together thoroughly. Using a funnel, pour the spice mixture into a small jar and seal tightly with the lid. Store in the pantry for up to 6 months.
Recipe Notes:
This recipe will make about ¾ cup of taco seasoning. If you are using it to season a chicken breast, ground beef, steak slices, or pork, you can sprinkle on 1 or 2 teaspoon per recipe.
