Homemade taco seasoning mix is super easy to make and takes less than 5 minutes. It's made with affordable spices that you already have in your pantry.
Add 4 ½ Tbsp chili powder, 6 tsp cumin, 2 ½ tsp paprika, 1 ½ tsp garlic powder, 1 ½ tsp onion powder, and ½ tsp ground pepper to a bowl and mix together thoroughly. Using a funnel, pour the spice mixture into a small jar and seal tightly with the lid. Store in the pantry for up to 6 months.
Recipe Notes:
This recipe will make about ¾ cup of taco seasoning. If you are using it to season a chicken breast, ground beef, steak slices, or pork, you can sprinkle on 1 or 2 tsp per recipe.
