Ingredients
Crust:

all-purpose flour

or ¾ cup almond flour, or 1 cup gluten-free 1:1 blend

granulated sugar
▢
¼

½ stick cold unsalted butter, cubed
Filling:
▢
¾
cup
brown sugar
▢

large eggs
▢
¼
cup
maple syrup
▢

tsp
vanilla bean paste

or extract

melted butter

chopped pecans

dark chocolate chips

whole pecans
To finish:
▢
Flaky sea salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 8×8 pan with parchment.
Mix crust ingredients. Press into pan. Bake 12–14 minutes. Cool slightly.
Whisk brown sugar, eggs, syrup, vanilla, salt. Add melted butter. Fold in chopped pecans and chocolate.
Pour over crust. Top with whole pecans. Bake 25–30 minutes.
Cool completely, chill 2+ hours. Slice and top with flaky sea salt.
