Everything is cooked in one frying pan. First, the ground beef is cooked with onion and garlic. Then, broccoli florets are added and cooked until crisp-tender. Next, honey garlic sauce is drizzled over everything and mixed in. Serve on its own or with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.

- 1 lb lean ground beef

How To Make Honey Garlic Ground Beef and Broccoli

STEP 1: Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add 1 Tbsp olive oil along with 3 minced garlic cloves and 1 cup chopped onion. Cook until the onion turns translucent, about 1-2 minutes.
STEP 2: Add in 1 lb lean ground beef. Break apart and cook until no longer pink, about 3-4 minutes. Swish a folded paper towel around using as spatula to soak up any excess grease.
STEP 3: Add 3 cups of broccoli florets and stir together. Cook until the broccoli is slightly soft but still crispy when poked with a fork, about 3-4 minutes.
STEP 4: Now pour 1 cup honey garlic sauce overtop of everything and mix. Cook another 1-2 minutes, until the sauce is heated through and broccoli is tender.
STEP 5: Scoop rice into bowls then add ground beef broccoli recipe on top. Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Tips
- Cut the broccoli into small even pieces so that it will cook faster.
- If you have a rice cooker, use it!! Start the rice before you make the recipe so that it's ready to serve.
- You can also serve this dish over noodles, quinoa, or with mashed potatoes.
- Don't be afraid to add more vegetables! You could add carrots, snap peas, cauliflower, kale, and potatoes. Just sautee them with the broccoli in the frying pan until they're cooked. More sauce might be needed.
