I absolutely love these honey mustard chicken thighs—they’re budget-friendly, super easy to whip up, and the whole family can’t get enough!

This recipe features a yummy homemade honey mustard sauce that takes less than 5 minutes to prep. Then, just pour it over the chicken and pop it in the oven to bake. Seriously, it’s so easy and perfect for busy nights!

How To Make Honey Mustard Chicken Thighs

STEP 1: Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a medium bowl, mix together ¼ cup honey, ¼ cup dijon mustard, 1 Tbsp whole grain mustard, 1 Tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp ground black pepper.

STEP 2: Place 8 chicken thighs in a baking dish. Pour the honey mustard sauce over top. Use a silicone brush to spread the sauce evenly over top of the chicken.

STEP 3: Place the chicken in the oven to bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches 165°F internally when poked with a meat thermometer.

  • Turn the oven to broil in the last 2 minutes if you want to crispen up the skin a bit.
  • You can spoon the honey mustard overtop of the chicken halfway through baking.

STEP 4: Once baked let cool 10 minutes before using a spatula to transfer to plates to serve.

How To Store Leftovers

  • Refrigerate – Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container or in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
  • To Reheat – Add chicken back to the oven at 375°F until warmed through or heat in the microwave.
