Homemade Taco Seasoning Overview
This is an easy, affordable alternative to store-bought taco seasoning which will contain many preservatives. You only need 6 spices: chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
This recipe will make about ¾ cup of taco seasoning. If you are using it to season a chicken breast or shredded chicken, mixed into ground beef, on steak slices, or pork, you can sprinkle on 1 or 2 tsp per recipe.
You can also use it as a chicken taco seasoning, to make flavorful rice, to make yummy taco meatloaf, in a ground beef taco soup, in a chicken salad, or chicken taco soup.
