Looking for a simple yet stunning punch recipe that'll wow your guests? This one is a total crowd-pleaser and perfect for any holiday celebration!
Recipe Overview
Oh my goodness, this punch is so good and super easy to whip up for any holiday party! Honestly, it's one of those recipes where you don't have to stress over too many ingredients, and it's still a total winner.
All you need are four simple ingredients for the punch itself, and then just a few fresh fruits to make a gorgeous frozen ice cube to put in the center (which, by the way, is totally optional but soooo pretty).
So here's the fun part—if you use a bundt cake pan for the ice cube, you’ll end up with this beautiful, festive shape filled with pomegranate seeds, orange slices, and fresh mint. It’s like a little winter wonderland in your punch bowl! And the best part? You fill the pan with frozen juice, not water, so as it melts, it doesn’t water down your punch—perfect!
The only thing that might get a little tricky is scooping the punch out into glasses while the ice cube is still fresh (it’s kind of like playing a game of punch Tetris). To make sure the ice fits in the punch bowl, just be careful not to fill the bundt pan all the way to the top—trust me, you don’t want it spilling over!
And if you don’t have a bundt cake pan lying around, no worries. You can easily pick one up at a thrift store, or even use a muffin tin or an ice cube tray to make adorable ice cubes.
It’s one of those little details that makes your holiday spread extra special without a lot of fuss. Enjoy!

To Make The Ice Cube: Add the sliced oranges, pomegranate seeds (or fresh cranberries), and fresh mint to a bundt cake pan or ice cube tray (skip the orange slices if using the ice cube tray they will be too big). Now pour in enough juice to fill the bundt cake pan less than halfway. Do not fill to the top or it may not fit in your punch bowl! Give it a gentle stir then place it in the freezer overnight.
Note: The pomegranate seeds will sink to the bottom, while orange slices and mint leaves will float to the top while freezing.
STEP 2: Now add 3 cups cranberry juice, 3 cups ginger ale (or lemon lime soda), 1 ½ cups orange juice, 1 ½ cups pineapple juice (or tropical juice) to a large punch bowl. The punch bowl should be LARGE to hold the big ice cube! Side note: I picked up my bowl from the thrift store for only $2!
NOTE: If your punch bowl is smaller, you might want to put half of the punch in first, then add the ice cube, and then pour in the rest of the punch so that it doesn't spill over.
STEP 3: Now gently add the ice cube into the center. Use a soup ladle or small cup to scoop the punch into glasses to serve.
The ice cube slowly melts into the punch over time, adding all the lovely fruit and mint flavors to the mix! Here’s what ours looked like by the end of the night after I served it on Christmas Eve—and let me tell you, I got so many compliments on how delicious the punch was!
Recipe Tips
- Prep the Ice Cube in Advance: Since the ice cube takes a few hours to freeze, make sure you prepare it ahead of time (even the day before if you can!) so it has plenty of time to freeze solid.
- Use Frozen Juice: To keep the punch from getting watered down as the ice cube melts, make sure to use frozen juice instead of water. It keeps the flavor strong and yummy!
- Customize the Fruits: Feel free to swap out the pomegranate seeds, oranges, and mint with your favorite fruits—cranberries, raspberries, lemons or even some apple slices would be amazing!
- Don't Overfill the Bundt Pan: When filling the bundt pan, leave lots of room at the top so the ice cube fits comfortably in your punch bowl and doesn’t spill over.
- Serve in a Big, Pretty Bowl: A large, clear punch bowl lets all the beauty of the ice cube and fruit show through, making it the perfect centerpiece for your party spread! If you don't have one, I highly recommend checking your thrift store first! There's usually lots of glass bowls there for super cheap.
How To Store Leftovers
- REFRIGERATE: If you discard the fresh fruits, the leftover punch can be stored in the fridge up to 4-5 days. If you want to keep the punch with the fresh fruits, it will keep about 1-2 days.
